The CEO of Tinder Loving Care, Noni Brooks, knows all about taking daily care of a developmentally disabled loved one. 

 

She is a mother of a 19-year-old, high-functioning, autistic son. He is her hero and special in every way. They learn from each other. She lost her daughter when she was only five (5) years old to gun violence and she was so special to her, too. She loved her big brother and she had a special friend at her school named Nomica. 

 

A part of the kindergartener's morning would be to spend time with challenged students. Nomica was wheelchair-bound and couldn’t talk but he was the light of my daughter's eye. She made it her business to see him every morning and talked about him at home and was very concerned that he couldn’t walk and talk. She says she got her big loving heart from her mom. Noni got into this field right after her daughter’s death and hasn’t looked back. 

 

Noni grew up in the inner city of Cleveland, Ohio. She went to public schools and later obtained her GED. She furthered her education at Kaplan Career Institute and Tri-C. She is a mom to two sons. She has worked as a receptionist and later began to work as a DSP (Direct Support Professional) for an agency. She became a certified independent provider through Dodd Ohio.
